Islas Canarias

Geographically, the Canary Islands are an archipelago of 7 large and several small islands. The Canary Islands become the window from Europe to the New World in the way that Columbus made his last stop before discovering America. The islands have a markedly different climate, influenced by many factors such as the proximity to Africa, the Atlantic Ocean, the north winds, the mountainous terrain of the islands themselves, etc. All of the Canary Islands are of volcanic origin, attracting tourists with their amazing volcanic landscapes and black sand beaches. But the nature of the Canaries is wonderfully varied, with tropical and pine forests, dunes and golden sand beaches in addition to volcanic landscapes.
