Sant Juan is a municipality belonging to the metropolitan area of Alicante, south-east of Valencia, Spain. It is the geographical centre of Old Alicante. Its population growth is due to the fact that in recent years the city has become isolated from the tourist areas but has developed its cultural and academic activities. The city has part of the campus of Miguel Hernández Elche University. There are also bars, restaurants, cafés and shops where you can get to know the locals and sample typical dishes.
