Benijofar is located in the south of the province of Alicante, in Vega Baja del Segura. Its origins can be traced back to an old Islamic farmhouse. In this town you can visit architectural landmarks such as the Parish Church, during the restoration of the interior of which, a site with the remains of human bones (almost all children) was found. The city has a typical Mediterranean climate, with mild winters; summers are hot and can exceed several times 35 °C. There are also plenty of local specialities to try.
