Guardamar del Segura is the coastline of the province of Alicante. It has 11km of clean sandy beaches, an ideal place for water sports and is an important tourist town. The Segura river flows through the town, which is rich in various architectural and archaeological structures, such as the Phoenician city of La Frontera. The city's ethnic museum and the Engineers' House Museum are two of the city's most interesting historical sites. It is an ideal destination for weekend trips on foot or by bicycle.
