La Marina is a coastal village run by the town of Elche in the province of Alicante on Spain's Costa Blanca. The nearby inland part of the peninsula is a large town, built in the mid-1980s and still confusingly called also La Marina. The town is situated next to the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the Sierra del Molar mountain. La Marina has urban beaches, dunes and large pine forests. The main beach (Las Pesqueras) is over 1,100 metres long. The main beach of the area is La Marina, a beautiful and large beach of fine and golden sand. The beach has a blue flag and sun lounger and umbrella rental services.
