San Juan de los Terreros is a town and Spanish village belonging to the municipality of Pulpi in the province of Almeria. It is known for its magnificent beaches. In recent years, the beaches and real estate of San Juan de los Terreros have been experiencing a tourist boom. In a short time the city has become a tourist resort, which at the same time forces the modernisation of the infrastructure. Off the coast of San Juan de los Terreros are two small islands of volcanic nature - the islands of Terreros and Negra - which form the Teros Isla Negra Natural Monument. The most characteristic monument of the town is the castle of San Juan de los Terreros, built in 1764 on a promontory from which on clear days most of the coastline of Almería and Murcia can be seen.
