Spanish region located in the province of Girona, Catalonia. Bajo Ampourdan is a comarca (district) in Catalonia, comprising a total of 37 municipalities, with a total area of 700.5 km2. Together with parts of the regions of Alto Ampourdan, El Girones and Playa del Estani, it forms the Ampourdan Historical and Cultural Area.
