Aguilas is a municipality and seaport in south-eastern Spain, in the province of Murcia. It is located on the Mediterranean coast, known as the Costa Calida, on the border with Almeria. Aguilas is built on a small peninsula between two bays, Puerto Poniente and Puerto Levante. In addition, the city has many beaches over 25 kilometres long. Aguilas has a true desert climate. It rains very rarely and there are no wet periods. Summer is the driest season when there is hardly any rain.
