Sotogrande is the largest private residential town in Andalusia Spain. It was first a place for a gated community, located in San Roque, lying 25 km from Gibraltar. It offers beautiful views of cliffs, mountains, forests, green valleys and the sea. Sotogrande has been home to some of the richest and most influential families in Russia and Britain. It is now home to politicians and celebrities from Spain. The city is also famous for its architectural landmarks, with a mix of different styles such as the traditional Andalusian style, medieval, modern, including the more unusual Marian and Swiss styles. All the houses here are protected as cultural treasures by parliament. There is an Andalusian National Park, a wildlife reserve, hiking trails with beautiful vistas, wildlife and birds migrating from Africa.
